Is there an answer to youth violence? In 2008, the Roots of Violence Report was published by the Ontario government. Since that time, it seems as though nothing has changed, or perhaps the level of violence for young people has become even greater.
Review the Steve Paikin on Roots of Youth Violence in 2018 video attached below. A link to a summary of the 2008 McMurtry Report on Youth Violence is also provided for additional information, if you are interested. What do you find is a convincing argument in the video, that will lead young people away from the path of crime and violence? Once you have formed your opinion on what might work, research to find a program that might be brought to our area that will support your thoughts.
This is the major written assignment for this course. Your report will be a maximum of 6 pages long, or 1500 words (not including a cover page and references).
