covid 19 crisis communication paper

Pick two crisis communication guidelines out of the four listed below and write a reflection paper on the US handling of COVID-19 pertinent to these guidelines. One guideline per page.

When writing the reflection, first take a position on the guideline: Do you think the guideline has been followed or violated? Then use major events, news articles, expert opinions, speeches, etc. as supporting evidence to justify your position. Focus on the communication aspect of the pandemic when you select evidences and construct argument.

Health officials handling risk and crisis communication should:

Provide the public with answers to three key questions: “What do I need to know? What do I need to do or not do today to protect my health and that of my family? Where do I find information that I can trust and understand?”
Designate a single spokesperson to provide trustworthy, current information that is based on science and evidence.
Coordinate with local health officials so that advice and information is consistent at every level.
“Tell it like it is”. Be open about what they know, even if they do not have all the answers. Do not downplay the risk to avoid panic.
