Annotated Bibliography II

Use the ACU library to obtain your sources. Choose five (5) empirical studies (research reports) or scholarly literature reviews from peer reviewed, scholarly journals written within the last five years. Do not include book chapters, books, editorials, white papers, trade magazine articles, or other non peer reviewed sources. The most common mistake is to choose an article that is not a research report. A research report or scholarly literature review includes methodology and findings, so the absence of these tells you to look elsewhere.
This assignment will be evaluated according to the Rubric below.
Annotated Bibliography II – Rubric
1. Bibliographic citation (3 points)
1. Strictly follow APA formatting.
2. Relies on research articles that refer to a topic relevant to leadership and diversity published within the last five years.
3. Do not include book chapters, books, editorials, white papers, trade magazine articles, dissertations, or other non-peer-reviewed sources.
2. Summary (6 points)
1. Open by stating the text’s thesis or purpose.
2. Summarize the major points of the entire article in your own words. Avoid personal bias.
3. Include the type of article (See APA 6th Ed. Sections 1.01-10.6), a description of the methodology, and the findings. Note: the largest percentage of your sources should fall into the research report category.
4. Approximately 150 words
3. Analysis (3 points)
1. Note and explain the article’s strengths and limitations.
2. Refer to Locke, Silverman & Spirduso’s Reading and Understanding Research. This resource provides useful, self-explanatory guidelines for evaluating empirical studies and literature reviews. Consult the appropriate chapters as you prepare your analysis.
3. Approximately 50 words
4. Application (3 points)
1. Explain the relevance or potential usefulness of the article to your study.
