Assignment: Fact Sheet

Assignment: Fact Sheet
Given the number of diseases and disorders a nurse has to be familiar with, quick references are a handy resource, not only for their own edification, but also so they can easily explain the disorders in lay terms to patients. Suppose you have been asked to create a quick reference or fact sheet for a particular disorder as a teaching tool for other nurses and healthcare professionals. What is the most important information to include? Nurses treating patients with a particular disorder would need to know about the pathophysiology of the disease and how the patient might respond to it. They would also need to know about the maladaptive responses, as well as the types of drugs used to treat the disorder.
