Bioethics – Writing Assignment
Using the case (which I’ve provided below for ease), present a detailed argument for who you think should get the heart. Do not just report things you might (or did) consider on your way to a decision. Rather, make sure that you are presenting your end-of-the-day argument. If you are not clear about what this means, make sure you’ve watched the video accompanying the interaction and if you still have questions don’t hesitate to contact me.
Your reasoning should recognize the moral complexity of the issue and show an awareness of different perspectives — so don’t just give an argument that reports that framework X would answer the question as certain way. You don’t need to mention every possible perspective, only those that you think are most important for the discussion of the case. Be as explicit as possible in your reasoning and why the things you draw attention to lead to your conclusion about who gets the heart.
This argument should be 900-1000 words.
