Overview

In this discussion, we will consider the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the global economy and global trade now and in the future. You are responsible to post a response to the discussion prompt by THURSDAY, and then at least five comments on classmates’ posts by Sunday. You must post to the forum on at least three days of the week.

Required Reading

Rather than give you articles to read, I’m asking you to look for articles yourself. The library databases are available . You may also use Google; however, be sure to consider source credibility when selecting articles. Consider the publication where you found the article and its author when assessing credibility.

Again, the topic is the impact of COVID-19 on the global economy and global trade now and in the future. Note the word “global.” Articles discussing the economy of a single country don’t meet that requirement. You should read at least three high-credibility articles matching this requirement.

Discussion prompt

Your post should answer the following:

1. List the articles you read–source, title, and link.

2. Which aspects of global trade and the global economy that we have studied so far are covered by the articles?

3. Summarize the key facts and arguments from the articles.

4. Do you agree with the authors? What future effects on global trade do you think we will see?
