Developing a Feasibility Study

Situation

You have been named to prepare a feasibility study in your company’s technology interest.

The mobile phones your supervisor originally ordered when the company formed worked fine, but now are outdated and slow; they’ll work for a short period of time, but your organization will need 50 new smartphones delivered within 60 days.

Your accountant informed your supervisor that she was able to free up a $35,000 technology budget to purchase new devices and a $5,000 budget to set up your first month of service for your 50 employees. Every employee will need Internet access. You will need to purchase these devices without a contract.

Your supervisor has asked you to create a feasibility study to efficiently spend this money. You’ll need to compare three different phone manufacturers (Apple, Samsung, HTC, etc.) and give your recommendation on the best phone plan.

Objective

Prepare a feasibility study comparing three different phone manufacturers for the most efficient setup. This includes determining the best features – even if they aren’t the cheapest. Refer to your text to help with layout of the study.

Compare at least six features all three smartphones share. This might include storage size, screen size, camera quality, and any other features that are important to your company. You must report the features for all three phones in your results section.

You have a lot of autonomy on the features and plan setup in this project. If you find a phone or a plan that’s unusual, feel free to incorporate it as long as it fits the parameters.

Delivery

The body of each section should be single-spaced in size 12 serif font, such as Times New Roman or Garamond.
