Organization fails because they allow too much complacency, do not create guiding coalitions, underestimate and under communicate the power of vision and permit obstacles to block vision. Guiding coalitions are a group of people that are leaders that can bring expertise and perspective to the organization, which is needed for a successful agency. Police agencies as an organization experience difficulties when members don’t have shared value, mission, or vision. Neglecting planning and lacking leadership competence leads to failure.
High performance in organization is usually found in leadership and leadership skills form the foundation for success as personal development and it builds a high performance team, successful learning organization that builds healthy communities and helps build leadership in others. Productivity and performance are high in a group when leaders provide a clear defined mission.

Organizations can fail for a variety of reasons. One of these reasons being leadership or a lack thereof. `A good and competent leader should be able to effectively take control of a situation and adapt to their situations depending on who they are working with or what the scenario demands. An effective leader also needs to be able to inspire respect and ensure that their subordinates follow directives. If an organization has an incompetent and inept leader, that organization will fail because there is no effective leadership to ensure that things run smoothly. A lack of communication can also lead to an organization’s downfall because communication is key to proper methods being maintained and the organization’s daily operations run like a well-oiled machine. On the other hand, effective and competent leadership has a direct relationship with the organization’s high performance and success. A competent leader who’s successful communication can enhance an organization’s daily operations to make sure that everyone is aware of the common goal as well as their individual responsibilities.

Some of these reasons are because of leadership failure, lack of planning, lack of profit, etc. When in an organization there is leadership failure there is no doubt that the organization is going to fail. I say this because in order for an organization to be successful it must start with a leader ready to take action and to be able to make the right decision. Another reason why organizations fail is because of the lack of both short-term and long-term planning. In order to have success in your organization, you need to have a plan and a vision of where do you see your organization in either a few months or a few years. Last but not least is the lack of profit. If your organization is not making a profit it eventually will fail. In order for your organization to keep growing, you have to make a profit.
The relationship of leadership and organization learning to high performance and success in organizations is that a good leader would use organization learning which is the process of creating, retaining, and transferring knowledge within an organization to help their organization improve and succeed in order to achieve their goals.

There is no one reason as to why organizations fail, there are a handful of reasons. organizations fail because they do not create a powerful guiding coalition, shower they allow too much complacency, and they permit obstacles to block visions. they also fail because they the clear victory too early and neglect to anchor change is firmly within the organization culture. If there is an organization that has an incompetent leader then that will also cause conflict within the organization and cause it to fail. Lack of organization within an organization is a great reason as to why organizations may fail. Communication is a very important part of an organization because without communication nobody within the operation would know what the common goal is. Effective, caring and honest leadership creates a successful organization. Leaders influence their subordinates and create an environment where they’re able to succeed. Leadership has a direct relationship with an organizations success.
