Ethics in Human Services
The Signature Assignment will be an 8-9 page essay
(excluding title page and reference page). You should use a minimum
of 5-6 scholarly sources.
For this paper, you will:
1. Identify a human services agency that is working with a marginalized group
2. Provide background information on the agency that you chose
and background information on the marginalized group that
they serve (Include the percentage of this group within the
community).
3. Create a needs assessment plan for the agency/organization
you selected. In your plan, make sure you address the
following:
– Cultural competence at the agency/organizational level
and your strategies to enhance cultural competence
relevant to the marginalized group
-Linguistic competencies and your strategy to enhance
them concerning the marginalized group
-Staffing required and strategies to recruit, hire and train
in the areas of cultural and linguistic competencies to
better serve the group you identified
-Human Services implications and/or your expectations of the
needs assessment at the local community, state and societal
levels)
