I want to avoid descriptive writing. compare the similarities and differences between the reviewed studies, and associate the reviewed studies with your own Try to briefly summarize what you have discussed at the end of each section. I already wrote my LR. However, my supervisor wants it to be more critical. I can share it with the writer to show him/ her how I approched the topic. However, I want to start from the scratch I do not want to rewrite or edit my LR. You can use mine to show you how I dealt with my reasearch. I can provide you with the references as well if needed.

Overall comment

Overall, I
like the sections in which you introduce previous studies. I think you have
given detailed information about each study in terms of research context,
research agenda, research methods, participants, and findings. And all these
studies are related to your own. I also like the topics related to technology:
religion, cultural history, teacher beliefs etc. All these topics help pave the
way for your own research agenda.

However, there
are areas that you need to work on:

1)
You sort of half follow the structure of sample
literature review we discussed in our previous meeting. It is not quite there.
For instance, your introduction part fails to explain why you wanted to do the
literature review. Your review questions are more like research questions. You
need to ask yourself what you aim to find out by going through previous
studies, as well as relevant theories. In this regard, I’d suggest that you go back
to the book again: academic reading and writing for postgraduate students.

2)
You need to engage in critical evaluations on
previous studies. Although you have a section entitled strengths and
limitations, you are still very descriptive in writing. You need to step back,
and compare the similarities and differences between the reviewed studies, and
associate the reviewed studies with your own.

3)
Try to briefly summarize what you have discussed at
the end of each section.
