When answering the analytical essay question, clearly explain how each of the key terms supports your main argument and relates to the essay topic. When discussing the required key terms, be sure to explain, in as many details as necessary from the PowerPoint lectures in the modules, 1) what the term is or who it is; 2) when the event happened; 3) where the event happened, and; 4) why is the event/person historically significant? (ALL THE details provided in the PowerPointslides). Your essay will be graded based on the details that you provide for each key term and how well you make connections between the key terms and the essay questions. Do not write each key term in isolation, but rather think about how the key terms work together to critically answer the essay questions.

1. During the period of colonialism and nation-building in North America, the issue of land fundamentally shaped Native American relations with English colonists and the United States.
