How are meat processing plants in the U.S. becoming an oligopoly
In Chapter 8 and Chapter 9, we began discussing markets. Two types of markets are oligopolies and monopolies. For this paper, you will discuss concerns in the agriculture industry that the meat processing plants in the U.S. are becoming an oligopoly.
In your paper, explain what an oligopoly is; how decisions about production are made in this type of market; pricing structures; and how competition is affected. Research regulations or laws that either help or limit competition in the meat processing industry, take into consideration current events, and how producers who use the services of meat processors are affected.
4-5 pages double-spaced. Title and reference page do not count towards overall paper length.
