M4 PBL Draft Paper – Part 3

OVERVIEW

This is the third activity (of 5) toward the semester-long Final PBL Project. This 3rd activity is the submission of your PBL Draft paper (a minimum of 4 pages, double-spaced type) in the Assignment folder for review by your instructor. The 4th activity is to also submit your draft paper in the PBL Draft Discussion for review by your fellow students. See Module 5 for more information on the 4th activity – PBL Draft Discussion.

The three purposes of the PBL Draft Paper assignment are to demonstrate your ability to

think critically about and analyze a real life issue or problem that impacts one’s sexuality or sexual rights that you have researched using 6-8 referenced journal articles and professional sources.
reflect on a reasonable solution(s) for improving the quality of one’s sexual rights.
provide your initial research and writing for your instructor and fellow student’s review. You will then use their feedback to improve and prepare your PBL Final Paper (5th activity) for submission.
For complete details on the format of the PBL Draft Paper, click on this link: PBL Draft Paper Guidelines. Also click and review the PBL Draft Paper Rubric to see how your draft paper will be evaluated by your instructor. How to access rubrics is found on the Course Rubrics page listed in the Syllabus Module.

INSTRUCTIONS

The Problem-based Learning Draft Paper consists of three activities:

First submit a copy of your draft as a .rtf, .doc, or .docx file in the Assignment folder by the due date listed in the Course Schedule. Your instructor will then begin reviewing your draft using the PBL Final Paper Draft Rubric to give you feedback for improvement. This rubric is also found in the Course Rubrics page listed in the Start Here! Module.
Post your Problem-based Learning Draft Paper in the PBL Draft Paper Peer Review Discussion to get feedback from your fellow students. See the Course Schedule found in the Course Schedule for the due date to post your draft in the discussion. Also review the requirements for you participation in the Peer Review Discussion found in Module 5.
Use your fellow student’s feedback from the Peer Review Discussion and your instructor’s feedback found on your PBL Draft Paper assignment folder to improve your Draft before submitting it as your final paper.
