One Week (2003) – an unfaithful soon -to -be groom learns that he may have contracted HIV just days to go before his wedding. Waiting a full seven days for the test results turns out to be the most hectic week of his life.

Philadelphia (2003) –based on a true story. Fearing it would compromise his career, lawyer Andrew Beckett (Tom Hanks) hides his homosexuality and his status at a powerful Philadelphia law firm. But his secret is exposed by a colleague. Fired shortly after, Beckett sues for discrimination, teaming up with Joe Miller (Denzel Washington) the only lawyer willing to help.

Kinsey (2004) – based on a true story. A look at the life of Alfred Kinsey, a pioneer in the area of human sexuality research, whose 1948 publication “Sexual Behavior in the Human male” was one of the first recorded works that saw science address sexual behavior.

Milk (2008)- based on a true story. The story of Harvey Milk and his struggles as an American gay activist who fought for gay rights and became California’s first openly gay elected official.
