Ramayana story
NIT 4 FINAL: INSTRUCTIONS FOR ~ SHORT STORY
Write a Short Story of no less than 1 1⁄2 pages that tells your very own version
of the Ramayana story.
You must use five of the Characters from your Character Charts to tell the story with. You may keep the Indian names or change them. Why not choose your favorite Character, like Hanuman, and tell the story through his eyes? What about the brother, Laksmana? He was there for all of it.

The story is set in Brooklyn ~ when Sita is banished to the forest you may use
any NYC park. Ex: Prospect Park or Central Park
Imagery ~ What does it look like, feel like, smell like and sound like? There is so much action in the Ramayana. Have fun with all the details. Take me there!
The Ramayana is a passionate story. There must be passion in your retelling of the story or it won’t work. Think about when your heart was broken for the first time.
