You will be writing Research on a mental health disorder. This paper is to be written according to APA writing style. Research a specific mental disorder within the realm of Abnormal Psychology. (example: Bi-Polar I,

Major Depressive Disorder, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder, etc.) The topic must

be one which is discussed in the text and described in the current edition of the

Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM). The length of the body of the

paper must be at least 3 pages, and must not exceed 5 pages of summarized research findings in

current APA format. In addition to this, include a current APA-style title page and

reference page ; these do not count toward the minimum number of pages required.

The research paper will address the following aspects, organized in this order:

1. Etiology

2. Symptoms

3. Criteria for diagnosis

4. Treatment- Various treatment approaches for this disorder, including the benefits of the treatment

5. Common misconceptions- what do people generally think about this disorder that may be incorrect or misunderstood?

The paper needs to follow APA style format. This would include a cover page, 3 to 4 pages of content, and a reference page. You need a minimum of three resources. ALWAYS, cite your resources in the body of the paper. This means when you use information you found in a resource, even if it is not a direct quote, you need to cite the resources.
