Topic : Sourcing and Sustainability Project (Starbucks，Coca Cola，McDonald’s etc)
Requirement:
select a topic of your interest within the general area of strategic global sourcing, and prepare an8~10-page report.
The project could either cover a totally new area or delve deeper into a topic covered in class. Rather than a comprehensive review, students should focus on presenting the major issues in that area and explaining in detail the most prominent tool(s)or method(s)used to solve the resulting problems. It can be thought of as preparing a class on that topic, where good, in-depth examples or demonstrations are welcome.
The project can be also a case study of the sourcing and procurement strategies of certain organizations. An in-depth analysis should be provided to highlight the strength or weaknesses of their strategies.
When you prepare to draft the report, please consider yourself as the sourcing and procurement managers, and you want to let the top management know the value and importance of good sourcing and procurement.
