The Death Penalty is this an effective form of punishment to deter crime?
Each student desiring to be eligible to receive an A in this course must write an original 4 to 5 page research paper [not including the cover sheet or reference page] analyzing a critical aspect of corrections.
The following is the outline expected for your papers:
A. Description of the issue or program that you select
B. Description of the problems that exist that make it less effective than possible
C. Evidence of its ineffectiveness
D. Suggested improvement and how it would be implemented
E. Description of how this will improve the effectiveness of the correctional system
2. The report should be written using the APA or MLA writing style and must be THREE to FOUR FULL pages in length, typed and double spaced not including the cover sheet or reference page. The student must use three (3) resources and cite the resources in the body of the report as applicable. In addition the student must incorporate an ethical event(s) occurring in the Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Profession from 2018 to present day into the body of the report.
3. Put a cover sheet on the report. The cover sheet should include the following:
a. identify which style of writing the paper is in: i.e. APA Writing Format
b. report title: i.e. Death Penalty
c. student name: i.e. Jane Doe
d. course & section number: i.e. Probation & Parole 1304 -002
e. instructor name: i.e. Professor Jones
f. date: i.e. 10/25/2020.
